This film is an adaptation of the Old English epic poem "Beowulf." The protagonist, Beowulf, is a warrior with exceptional strength and prowess. The formidable and perilous giant, Grendel, is the formidable enemy Beowulf must confront. To save a village ravaged by Grendel, Beowulf leads a group of warriors across the sea to face Grendel in a direct confrontation.
